Art at the Catheral, a gallery at Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington, Kentucky, opens the exhibit to artists to present your best work for this non-theme open exhibit. If you choose to do landscape, please submit work appropriate to spring.

Drop off Tuesday, April 10, 2012
Selection will occur on the day of the drop off.

Pick up Works from 11a.m. to 1:00 and 4:30--5:30, Tues. May 15
Works not picked up on time will be stored; call ahead for pick up time.
Entry:
Drop off location: Art at the Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, 166 Market Street, Lexington, KY 40507. If you have not been to the facility before, enter at the canopied entrance on Cathedral Way, just beyond 166 Market. Bring this entry form with your work clearly marked. Your signature on this entry form indicates your assurance that pieces entered will be available for the specified time period of the exhibit.
Entry fee and procedure:
A non-refundable entry fee of $10 (not to exceed $30) for each piece accepted. Pay at the time of drop off. The fee does not cover shipping. You may submit up to six pieces.
Exhibition:
Works may not be removed until the pick-up date.
Procedures:
Two dimensional art must be wired in order to be properly hung on the French Hooks used by the Cathedral. Pedestals are available when required for three dimensional art.
Sales:
Checks for sales are made payable to the artist by the purchaser. Let your pricing reflect a suggested contribution of 20% to Art at the Cathedral in the event of a sale. The selling price is listed in the catalogue but not on the title card or art itself.
Insurance and liability:
Works are insured at 80% of selling price up to $5,000 while at the Cathedral but not while in transit The insurance applies only during the published exhibiting dates.
Artist Statement:
Write your statement with your usual bio and include reference to your theme. Artist statements will be placed in an 8 ½ X 11 binder. You must provide contact information.
